ABOUT INSTITUTION

Swamy Vivekananda Rural Education Society is a non-profit organization established by philanthropic individuals of the farming community from villages around Chandapura. This organization is registered in the year 1963 under Societies Registration Act, Govt. of Karnataka. It has been serving the society for nearly 60 years in the field of education, upliftment of students belonging to labourer's, farmers and other economically backward communities. With the blessings of his holiness Sri Sri Sri Shivakumara Swamiji of the Siddaganga Mutt, the first institution viz., Kannada Medium High School was initiated with a section of about 60 students. Presently, the organization is spread over 5 acres of land and caters to about 5000 students pursuing kindergarten to under-graduate courses, with institutional wings - Higher Primary School, English Medium School, ICSE School, Pre-University College and First Grade College. This is an Institution rooted in the traditions and values of our motherland. It aims to empower rural students through a holistic, meaningful, dynamic and disciplined education.

To create a platform for the rural student community to enhance and exhibit their Intellectual, Physical, Spiritual, and Creative Abilities by deriving the benefits of Primary, Secondary, and Higher Education.

MISSION

1. To provide adequate opportunities for the student community to pursue their education through curricular and extra-curricular activities.

2. To provide excellent opportunities for the teaching fraternity to improve their skills and in turn, transfer the knowledge of the learner.

3. To inspire and train youth to pursue higher education and acquire the necessary skills to lead a happy and productive life in the interest of society and the nation.

Commencement of the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program, equipping students with skills in information technology and software development.

Received Rotary Karnataka CSR Award for being a Responsible Higher Educational Institution – 2nd Runner-Up.

NAAC accreditation with “B” Grade

2009

Launch of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program, focusing on management and entrepreneurial skills.

Introduction of the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program, offering students a strong foundation in Business and Commerce.

CODE OF CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE

1. General Behavior

Students must maintain discipline and exhibit good character at all times.

Any misbehavior towards faculty, staff, or peers within the college campus will be taken seriously and may lead to disciplinary action.

2. Cleanliness & Discipline

Littering, defacing walls, and any act of nuisance on the college campus are strictly prohibited.

Students must ensure the college premises remain clean, neat, and tidy at all times.

Movement in the corridors during lecture hours is not allowed.

3. Use of Electronic Devices

Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited on campus.

Any such devices found in possession will be confiscated.

4. Anti-Ragging Policy

Ragging is a criminal offense. Students must submit an undertaking stating they will not engage in ragging.
